From the 29th of January 2025 Glasgow City Council has confirmed enforcement of pavement parking, double parking and parking over dropped kerbs. A Glasgow wide survey has been made, the results of this can be viewed on an interactive map, available to view from the webpage below.
Postcode/Areas and street names are searchable.
The map shows roads highlighted in magenta, where exemptions would not be considered because:
- the areas where these roads are located are already controlled by parking restrictions or,
- the roads are at least 7.5 metres wide, which allows safe passage of a fire engine when cars are parked on both sides of the road.
The roads highlighted in green on the interactive map require further assessment, which is likely to take a significant number of months to complete.
This we hope will have an effect on double parking and parking over dropped kerbs during Football Matches. We will be monitoring this closely to ensure enforcement does take place.
